The Gator Beat has been playing dances and festivals on the West Coast for 20 years.
We specialize in our own brand of South Louisiana music - it combines traditional
Cajun and Zydeco with a wonderful mixture of original songs. The flavor is always

South Medford Suitz - Medford, Oregon
South Medford Suitz is a small jazz ensemble in the swing band style. The Suitz perform at a variety of venues, including concerts, festivals, competitions weddings, receptions, and parties. Students earn membership into the Suitz through auditions held every spring. This past May the Suitz made their second appearance at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee and have been invited to return for a third straight appearance in 2008. The Suitz appeared at the Medford Jubilee last year in a limited role and are back this year "in force" with appearances at the Golf Tournament Awards Banquet, the Sponsor's Reception and at various venues throughout the weekend. |

Oregon Coast Lab Band - North Bend, Oregon
This group of young performers has a way of captivating our growing
audience. The Lab Band Program Association was created in 1992 to
give young musicians on Oregon's south coast an opportunity to
expand their musical skills through education and performance.
They specialize in jazz, the "Big Band" sound including vocalists,
with satellite specialty bands performing Dixieland and soft rock.
This is a group of young talented performers you will not want to miss.

High Sierra Jazz Band - Three Rivers, California
The High Sierra Jazz Band was formed in 1976 in the small town of Three
Rivers, located in Central California at the entrance to the Sequoia National Park.
The band has seen only a few changes in its long history. Of the original six members, four:
Charlie Castro, Bruce and Stan Huddleston and Earl McKee, are still active members.
From the beginning the band has enjoyed enormous popularity; it enjoys the support
of a large group of jazz fans. An American Rag readers poll recently pronounced the
High Sierra Jazz Band the second most popular traditional jazz band ever, just
behind the Turk Murphy band, ahead of the Duke Ellington Orchestra. |

A spin-off from Blue Street Jazz Band, Blue Renditions is made up of the
Blue Street's younger members and a "Professor". (Well, Jason Wanner is
also a regular member of Blue Street when he's not teaching at the Mammoth Jazz Camp.)
It's a pretty hot ensemble. They're not only fun to watch but great to listen to.

Spotlight on Mel Tormé - Southern Oregon
"Spotlight on Mel Tormé - A Little Biography and a Lot of Music." Camelot Theatre's 2008 production starring Joe Diamond as Mel Tormé. Joe brings Mel Tormé to life with an evening of humor, vocal brilliance, and great music. Songs include "Take the 'A' Train," "Stardust," "Blue Moon," "Lulu's Back in Town," "Too Close for Comfort," Just in Time," "Don't Get Around Much Anymore," and many more. Joe is joined by Musical Director and Arranger, Robin Lawson on keyboards and he is backed with an eight-piece jazz band. Two complete performances, Friday and Saturday at the Craterian Theater. Beth Baker and A Little Good News with Chorus - Southern Oregon
Beth Baker fell in love with black gospel music while living in New York City. She was the featured soloist with the East Village Gospel Choir under the direction of Ronald Metcalf.
